I'm still on the African New York Fashion Week vibe, why? Well because most of the designs were phenomenal and Africa has got talent more than they are given credit for. This post will focus on a designer from Cameroon. Her designs consisted of lots of bead work and velvet fabric, velvet has always been considered to exude sex appeal or elegance and Syl did that with her collection. Here are some of my favourite picks....
The collection had a sort of fairytale theme to it, more like an African fairytale and can you see the extent of the detailing that Syl has on her pieces, they are magnificent and I appreciate good handiwork when I see it.
The designer herself, Syl Amin....GO AFRICA!
